Ann Marie Forte, Ms. Beautiful

A Sonnet by Izzy Sommers

When Ann Marie observes her image in
The mirror, she can see no beauty, while
The rest of us just melt. She has some points
Of Beauty that are marvelous. In fact,
Her face could launch a million ships. Her shape
Is fuller than the Mona Lisa and
Much trimmer for the modern times in which
We live, for certainly she isn't Rubenesque!
She looks more like a model in
Bikini issues of all magazines.
She smiles like Kidman and Maria of
The Sharapova ilk. She is like silk
Compared to muslin. She is like a Bond
Delight in all his movies. But she is real,
Not artificial or touched up. She has
Appeal as universal as did Di,
The Beauty Princess of the World, say I.
