dearest Shari...

Dear Shari,

When I got no response from anyone, except from Jim Berryman, I assumed the poems went over like a Led Zeppelin. Bad assumption, I guess. I'm afraid I'm just sensitive. When my sister read some of my poetry, some time ago, she said, "You'd better keep your day job." My second wife disliked them so much, she erased some 10,000 of them, mainly limericks, from my Macintosh when we were married. My sister did like my 10 min., 10 sec., interview that Jim produced and aired, about 10 days ago on a Saturday night during the fund drive. I get kudo's from www.Poetry.com where I have over 200 poems posted and where they have featured my poems in their coffee table anthologies of the International Society of Poets, their discs and their cards.. Perhaps it's the old thing about prophets never being recognized by their own townspeople and expecially by their own kith and kin...Next time I'll think more positively. Thanks for your response. And, I'll be seeing you on the radio...

Sincerely,

Izzy.
