Hi Izzy,

Hey, you sounded good! I received a call from a semi-regular listener who said he thought the limerick was funny. I’ve spent several years doing “production” in this whacky business of radio….countless hours of editing voices and music for commercials and promotional spots. In fact, any spot you hear on this station with my voice that has music under it was edited to fit the 30 second standard. Hey….it’s a livin’.

I’m glad you are happy with what you heard.

Dear Jim,

It sounded great! What great editing! Thank you! My kith and kin would thank you except I couldn't get them interested enough to listen... Did I ever tell you that I am the only right-brained person in my family... I discovered this after learning how to tell the difference with a simple trick. It truly means that I'm from a planet that my family didn't come from and that my vague feeling that I was an alien growing up in a strange house, or that I was switched in the hospital nursary, was substantiated, which is another story altogether.

Jim Berryman lived in our Buffalo,
Just south and east of South Ontario ;
He plied his trade and made impressions on
Some folks in West New York, Toronto and
In Pennsylvania and in the land
In range of every FM radio
From Timbuktu to Xanadu and too
From Coventry to Normandy to true
Sequestered ancient Scottish tribes who dig
Virginia Reels and Irish River Jigs.
It makes one take a step toward Jim B.
Of BY REQUEST and recognize that he
Determines quality and quantity
