In case no one passed it on to you, here is a copy of the message I sent to the powers that be at WNED-FM.
Yesterday it was springtime with a temperature of 60F. Today winter has returned. I'm happy I enjoy classical music. Staying indoors is so much more pleasant.
Sincerely,
Izzy.

Dear Peter,
I was sitting home alone Saturday night writing my memoirs when a voice, unfamiliar, to me, came on WNED-FM to do Request Night. He asked for requests and I complied. He read my email with bemused delight on the air and we exchanged some very needed distracting emails which kept me away from some of the tough stuff in my past, distant and near. I wish to extend my congratulations to the bosses for recruiting this kind man. He needs some Kudos. Please give him some on my behalf, if this is appropriate, asap, and warn him that now that my mood is improved after a gruesome two years of being much like a hibernating grouchy, mostly sleeping, bear, I'm a constant participating listener and lover of classical music, to which Elaine Knecht and Stratton Rawson would have attested.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Izzy.
Jim Berryman

Izzy,
Peter Hall is still here.Peter Goldsmith (our Program Director) retired. And, yes, Elaine has some recorded announcements on tape that we play from time to time.
Nice to hear from you.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for the reply. This gives me another 30 sec. of Warhol fame...
Thank you for the update. I thought she had left but I kept hearing her voice for certain promotions. They must be tapes, I'm guessing. Peter Hall was another one of my favourites. Strattan Rawson likes more opera than I do. I started emailing Elaine Knecht when she responded to my email about her great attempts to use the right intonation for foreign composers and virtuosos. We discovered we had a lot of common interests including having spent time in Europe using several languages and dialects and a love for musical rhythms and poetic rhymes. I once composed a classic sonnet for her with 13 rhymes for Knecht. She had supplied me with Utrecht and wrecked. If you ever hear from her please send her my regards. She might still remember me...
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Izzy.
P.S. It's so pleasant this morning in Welland . The wind has subsided and the temperature is going up to 50F. I put on my spring jacket and rode my bicycle to my girlfriend's for breakfast and then to church. After our discussion of terrible weather last night, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Toronto Globe and Mail about the TOGETHERNESS engendered by disasters like blizzards and blitz bombing, followed by a jump in the birth rate 9 months later. It might even get published...

Hi Izzy,
It was my pleasure. I found your description of Winter in Welland quite amusing.
BTW: Elaine left the station a while back for a great full-time position and Peter Goldsmith retired a few months ago.

Dear folks,
Thank you for honouring me with not only playing my request but also giving me an Andy Warhol, moment or two, of fame. It wasn't 15 minutes, but it was worth the 15 years of waiting...
Sincerely,
Izzy.

Dear folks,
Greetings from Welland , Ontario , where we are covered in cleansing snow and bitter cold.
Please play some French piano music, such as Maurice Ravel's Tombeau de Couperain ou Claude Debussey's Burgermaste. Je vous enpris...
The music has been exceptionally good so far this evening. All the best to Elaine, Peter, and the gang.
Sincerely,
Izzy.
